For those who love the great outdoors you can do so on foot, bike or horseback in the local area. The canal is minutes away from the Apartment and you can walk to Welshpool, Newtown and beyond.  Nearby is Glyndwr’s Way, The Severn Way and Offa’s Dyke footpaths all have easy access to Berriew. 

Y Twll is conveniently located to enjoy a visit to the renowned National Trust property of Powis Castle (4.5 miles), take a ride on the Llanfair Light Railway (10 miles), explore the Offa’s Dyke National Trail, or bike ride along the beautiful Montgomery Canal leading to the Pond Nature Reserve with an array of local wildlife to spot.

5 miles away is the market town of Montgomery with Norman castle. Further afield are the foodie capital of Ludlow, Tudor Shrewsbury, and historic Ironbridge.

Lake Vyrnwy is within an hours drive along with the Coast.

We are spoilt with NT's as Attingham, Chirk Castle, and Erdigg just outside Wrexham are all within an hours drive.
